Export your Shorts views from YouTube Studio
Checked against YouTube Help and the YouTube Blog on . Unofficial; YouTube decides what counts.
To check the 10M-in-90-days line yourself you need one thing: your Shorts views for each day. YouTube Studio's Advanced mode can export exactly that. Here are the steps, the settings that matter, and what to do with the file.
Where the export lives
Advanced mode is the expanded analytics report in YouTube Studio. It lets you analyse specific videos, compare performance and export data.[YouTube Help: Learn how to use Advanced mode for analytics reports]
YouTube has been gradually rolling out an updated YouTube Studio experience since July 2026, so your Analytics page may look different from older screenshots. Look for the feature names below rather than a particular layout.[YouTube Help: Learn how to use Advanced mode for analytics reports]
The export, step by step
Sign in to YouTube Studio, select Analytics in the left menu, open a report with ADVANCED MODE or SEE MORE, make the adjustments you want, then select Export current view at the top and choose a file format.[YouTube Help: Learn how to use Advanced mode for analytics reports]
For a Shorts-only view, the Content tab in Studio Analytics has a “Shorts” chip that holds your Shorts data.[YouTube Help: Content tab analytics tips: Shorts]
In Advanced mode, Controls set the content and the date range, Breakdown can split the report by date, and Date view switches between daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.[YouTube Help: Learn how to use Advanced mode for analytics reports]
| Setting | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Content | Shorts | The 10M and 20M thresholds count Shorts views only |
| Breakdown | Date | One row per day, so every 90-day window can be added up |
| Date view | Daily | Weekly or monthly totals can't be re-cut into exact windows |
| Date range | At least the last 180 days | Two full windows: today's and the one before |
| Metrics | Views, plus Engaged views if offered | See the next section |
| Format | Comma-separated values (.csv) | A plain file any tool can read |

Views or Engaged views?
Since 31 March 2025 the Shorts “Views” metric counts every start or replay, with no minimum watch time; the older view metric is now called “Engaged views”.[YouTube Help: Get started creating YouTube Shorts: “Changes to Shorts views count”]
YPP eligibility is based on “qualified views” and YPP earnings on “engaged views”.[YouTube Help: How engagement metrics are counted]
Our math / readingNo official page says Studio exports the exact “qualified Shorts views” figure, so any export is an estimate. If your report offers Engaged views, include it: it is closer to what pays than plain Views.
What's in the download, and the 500-row limit
Downloaded reports are limited to 500 rows. For more, YouTube points to the YouTube Reporting API.[YouTube Help: Learn how to use Advanced mode for analytics reports]
Our math / readingWith Date as the breakdown each day is one row, so 180 days is 180 rows, well inside the limit. This is arithmetic, not a YouTube figure.
In the CSV exports we've seen, Studio downloads a ZIP with three files: Totals.csv (one row per day, the best input), Chart data.csv (one row per day per video) and Table data.csv (one row per video, no dates). ShortsGate opens the ZIP in your browser and picks the right file, so you can drop the ZIP as it is.
Check your rolling 90-day total
From 1 February 2027, earning from the Shorts Creator Pool each month needs 10M qualified Shorts views over the last 90 days.[YouTube Help: Changes to the YouTube Partner Program]
Drop the ZIP or CSV into ShortsGate. It adds up every 90-day window, marks the months you'd have qualified, and shows the views per day you need for the next measurement. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

Drop your YouTube Studio export into ShortsGate. It runs in your browser; your file is never uploaded.

How do I export Shorts views from YouTube Studio?
In YouTube Studio open Analytics, click ADVANCED MODE (or SEE MORE) under a report, set it up (Shorts content, Date breakdown, daily view, at least 180 days), then select Export current view at the top and pick a format such as CSV.
Why does my YouTube Studio export stop at 500 rows?
YouTube limits downloaded reports to 500 rows and points to the YouTube Reporting API for more. A daily export by date uses one row per day, so even 180 days fits.
Which file from the Studio ZIP should I use?
Totals.csv, which has one row per day. Chart data.csv also works (ShortsGate sums it by date); Table data.csv has no dates, so it can't show a 90-day window. ShortsGate picks the right file if you drop the whole ZIP.
